Vu Phong Energy Group signed partnership for “green journey, digital learning” project

On October 26, 2024, the signing ceremony and official launch of the “Green Journey, Digital Learning” project took place in Quy Nhon, with the participation of Construction Joint Stock Company 47 (CC47), Vu Phong Energy Group, Xanh Yeu Thuong(*), AI Education, and SUN Edu.

This project is a multi-party collaboration initiated to commemorate the 50th anniversary of CC47. It aims to improve infrastructure in remote schools and promote digital transformation in education. Activities will include building solar-powered sanitation systems and providing Chromebooks along with the Google Workspace for Education ecosystem. With a total budget of over 5 billion VND, “Green Journey, Digital Learning” will be implemented in 10 primary and secondary schools, positively impacting more than 5,000 students annually in remote areas. The project may expand to other countries in Southeast Asia in the future.

The signing ceremony was held at the CC47 building in Quy Nhon, attended by key representatives: Mr. Quang, Duong Minh – General Director of CC47; Mr. Tri, Nguyen Quang – General Director of Vu Phong Energy Group; Ms. Ai, Lam Thuy – Head of Xanh Yeu Thuong; Mr. Nguyen, Tran Vu – Founder of AI Education; and Mr. Hien, Truong Cong Minh – Chairman of SUN Edu International Education Corporation. The representatives discussed and agreed on cooperation terms and activities, with a focus on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, including Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), Goal 13 (Climate Action), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

CC47 and Vu Phong Energy Group will be the main sponsors, assisting in building solar-powered sanitation facilities to reduce energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions. Xanh Yeu Thuong will manage, construct, and operate the sanitation facilities for three years post-completion.

Beyond promoting green transformation, the project also focuses on digital transformation, introducing a dual transition journey. AI Education (Google for Education’s authorized partner in Vietnam) and SUN Edu will provide support. As an implementation partner, SUN Edu will sponsor Chromebook devices, and AI Education will provide access to high-quality Google educational software. Remote schools will receive digital learning tools, enabling flexible and effective knowledge access. Teachers will also be trained by AI Education and SUN Edu, helping enhance teaching quality and innovate learning methods.

Representatives of schools including: Ky Hai Primary & Secondary School (Ha Tinh); Vinh Thanh Town Primary School, Vinh Son Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Binh Dinh) received sponsorship from the project.

The signing date of October 26, 2024, marks the beginning of a series of implementation activities in Central provinces. The groundbreaking ceremony for the first school—Ky Hai Primary & Secondary School in Ha Tinh—is expected to take place on November 10, 2024. Following this, in early 2025, the project will continue at Vinh Thanh Town Primary School and Vinh Son Ethnic Semi-boarding Secondary School in Binh Dinh.

“Green Journey, Digital Learning” represents a harmonious combination of green and digital transformation in the community, aimed at sustainable development. Through this project, CC47, Vu Phong Energy Group, and partners hope to send a message of comprehensive cooperation and growth, where green and digital transformation is not just a trend but an effective solution for the future.
