About the Project

A rooftop solar power system with a capacity of 516.1 kWp has been installed at FPT University (Can Tho Campus). The project officially began commercial operation in 2026. FPT University (Can Tho Campus) is a branch of FPT University serving the Mekong Delta region, committed to sustainable development and reducing carbon emissions across its offices and workplaces. With a strong commitment to sustainable development, the company is actively deploying renewable energy solutions at its facility located at FPT University and Software Park Complex, Nguyen Van Cu Extended Street, An Binh Ward, Can Tho City. The system uses 794 high-efficiency Longi 650 Wp solar panels and 3 Huawei 150 kW inverters. With an optimized design, the system is expected to generate approximately 740,000 – 760,000 kWh of clean electricity per year, reducing emissions by more than 494 tons of CO2 per year and helping cut greenhouse gas emissions at the facility.

Benefits for Businesses

  • By installing a self-generation, self-consumption (behind-the-meter) solar power system, FPT University (Can Tho Campus) is able to:
  • Make the most of available rooftop space to maximize the value of its production facility.
  • Focus with confidence on core business operations, meeting energy needs with a high-performance PV
  • system that delivers electricity at a lower cost than the grid.
  • Strengthen its sustainability commitments by using clean energy, reducing carbon emissions from
  • production, and meeting the sustainability requirements of its customers. With this system, FPT University will benefit from lower-cost solar power for its factory operations and production activities. Adopting renewable energy under the ELA model allows FPT University to maintain financial flexibility for other operational activities, meet green production criteria, and digitize the emissions it has reduced through an effective monitoring and measurement system. Thanks to the professionalism and dedication of its project engineering team, Vu Phong Energy Group is proud to deliver a high-performance, aesthetically refined system, helping businesses move forward with confidence on their dual journey of greening and digital transformation.
