Vu Phong Energy Group donated VND 100 million for the first phase which will be used to purchase a Covid-19 vaccine

On May 27, 2021, at the Administrative Center in Binh Duong, Vu Phong Energy Group JSC (Solar & Wind Power) donated VND 100 million (phase 1) to the COVID-19 vaccination Fund to purchase vaccines against Covid-19 through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong province in response to the launch of the COVID-19 pandemic-prevention fundraising campaign during the peak period. 

The launch ceremony of the COVID-19 pandemic prevention fundraising program by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee during the peak period contributes to nationwide propaganda and raises various segments of the population’s awareness of and active participation in COVID-19 prevention, in accordance with Ministry of Health advice. Additionally, the launch ceremony advances our nation’s tradition of national unity by soliciting contributions from domestic and international organizations, businesses, groups, and individuals who continue to lend both physical and emotional support to front-line local forces and the general public in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic. 

Mr. Pham Nam Phong, Chairman and General Director of Vu Phong Energy Group JSC (Solar & Wind Power), attended the COVID-19 pandemic prevention fundraising campaign’s launch ceremony during the peak season.

 The ceremony was live-streamed from the Central Government to the Central Government’s 63 provinces and cities. At the Central Point, representatives of Party and State leaders, members of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, members of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention, leaders of socio-political organizations, central agencies, and ministries, and others are present. Party Committees and administrations at all levels, leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, leaders of socio-political organizations, and some provinces and cities’ departments and branches all took part.

 Mr. Pham Nam Phong, Chairman and General Director of Vu Phong Energy Group Joint Stock Company (Solar & Wind Power) in Binh Duong province, donated 100 million VND on behalf of the company to the COVID-19 Vaccination Fund to purchase Covid-19 vaccine in response to the launch of the COVID-19 pandemic prevention fundraising program, joining hands with the entire country to prevent Covid-19.

Prior to that, in 2020, Vu Phong Energy Group donated VND 150 million to the Relief Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Binh Duong province, including VND 50 million in cash and VND 100 million in-kind for Covid-19 epidemic prevention through the Relief Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Additionally, Vu Phong donated 100 SolarV portable solar lights and 20 SolarV solar generators worth 110 million VND to border soldiers in the provinces of Quang Tri, Binh Phuoc, and Tay Ninh… assisting soldiers in completing their border tasks, guarding the border, and preventing the spread of COVID-19 from across the border. Additionally, Vu Phong and the Clean Energy Association – Representative Office of the South donated 5,000 masks, 5,000 hand sanitizers, and other necessities to the COVID-19 concentration area at the Vietnam National University’s Area B Dormitory in Ho Chi Minh City.

 Vu Phong also worked with the People’s Committee – Fatherland Front committee in Binh Hoa Ward, City. Thuan An, Binh Duong, and others, local benefactors to install the “ATM of gratitude – free rice ATM” to share difficulties with the community and spread the power of love, “the good leaves protect the worn-out leaves” in COVID-19 that have a significant impact on life. 

The entire country is united in its goal of mutual assistance through practical actions in response to the Covid-19. We will use the strength of unity to attempt to accomplish the dual goals of combating the epidemic and developing the economy.
