Construction Joint Stock Company 47: 50 Years of Development (1975-2025)

On the morning of September 8, Construction Joint Stock Company 47 held a ceremony to celebrate its 50th anniversary (September 8, 1975 – September 8, 2025) under the theme “Breakthrough Transformation – Achieve Global Reach”.

Attending the ceremony, on behalf of the Central Government, were Mr. Huỳnh Thanh Xuân – Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; and Mr. Nguyễn Hà Xuyên – Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Agriculture and Environment Trade Union of Vietnam.

On behalf of Gia Lai province, attendees included Mr. Vũ Hoàng Hà – former Member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Binh Định Provincial Party Committee (now Gia Lai province); Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; together with representatives of provincial departments, agencies, and localities.

Representing the enterprise, Mr. Pham Nam Phong – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Construction Joint Stock Company 47, along with members of the Board of Directors, the Board of General Directors, company leaders, and staff from affiliated units, attended the event. The ceremony was also honored to welcome numerous distinguished guests, including investors, consulting units, and long-term business partners of the Company.

In his speech, Mr. Pham Nam Phong – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Construction Joint Stock Company 47 and Vu Phong Energy Group, stated: Construction Joint Stock Company 47, formerly known as the Khu 5 Mechanical Construction Team, was established on September 8, 1975. Over 50 years of development, the company has affirmed its leading position in the fields of hydropower and irrigation construction, services, hotels and restaurants, and both domestic and international tourism. It has earned the trust and high appreciation of investors and government agencies. Throughout half a century, the Company has executed numerous national key projects, achieved significant milestones, and been honored with prestigious awards from the Party and the State such as: First-Class Labor Medal (1997), Labor Hero of the Renewal Period (2000), and the Second-Class Independence Medal (2011).

Mr. Pham Nam Phong emphasized that, in the context of digital transformation, green transition, and deep international integration, the Company is undergoing restructuring toward lean and efficient operations, focusing on developing high-quality human resources, and promoting the application of digital technologies, BIM, and AI in design, construction management, and operations. The Company’s goal is to continue conquering major domestic and international projects in renewable energy, hydropower, wind power, solar power, irrigation, and key transport infrastructure.

As part of the ceremony, Construction Joint Stock Company 47, in collaboration with Vu Phong Energy Group, organized the handover of two projects titled “Green Journey, Digital Knowledge” to Vĩnh Thạnh Town Primary School and Vĩnh Sơn Semi-boarding Ethnic Minority Secondary School. The handover took place in a warm yet solemn atmosphere, marking a special highlight of the anniversary celebration. This activity not only reflected the joint commitment of the two enterprises toward the community but also reaffirmed their strong and enduring partnerships. Representing Construction Joint Stock Company 47, Mr. Duong Minh Quang – General Director, together with Mr. Pham Dang An – Deputy General Director of Vu Phong Energy Group, personally handed over the projects to the two schools’ representatives, expressing hopes for a modern, green, and knowledge-rich learning environment for the students.

On behalf of provincial leadership, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding achievements of Construction Joint Stock Company 47 over the past 50 years. He affirmed that these accomplishments were the result of the persistent efforts of the company’s leadership, staff, and workers through generations, as well as evidence of the strong support from partners and clients both domestically and internationally.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee emphasized the role of the private sector as one of the key drivers of the national economy (in line with the Politburo’s Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025), contributing to growth, job creation, improved labor productivity, enhanced national competitiveness, and meaningful contributions to industrialization, modernization, and the development of a green, circular, and sustainable economy. He reaffirmed Gia Lai province’s consistent stance of accompanying enterprises, building a transparent, safe, and stable business environment; promoting administrative reforms; promptly removing obstacles; and creating favorable conditions for legitimate, sustainable business development.

Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang expressed his hope that Construction Joint Stock Company 47 would continue to uphold its proud tradition, strengthen governance capacity, foster innovation, apply science and technology, expand markets, and improve workers’ livelihoods; thereby continuing to affirm its role as one of Gia Lai’s and Vietnam’s exemplary enterprises. He assured that Gia Lai province is committed to always supporting and creating the best conditions for the Company and the broader business community to thrive sustainably.

On this occasion, the Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee awarded a Certificate of Merit to Construction Joint Stock Company 47. In addition, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Agriculture and Environment Trade Union of Vietnam, Vietnam Electricity (EVN), and Project Management Board 1 also granted multiple Certificates of Merit and Commendations to the Company’s collectives and individuals for their outstanding contributions to development.
