About the project

Solar power is a renewable, clean and sustainable source of energy. Many countries in the world have recognized the potential and benefits of solar power and invested heavily in developing solar power projects. One of the leading companies in the field of solar power in Vietnam is Vu Phong Energy Group, which has implemented the 271 kWp solar power installation project for Mirae, a company producing raw materials for the garment industry in Binh Duong.

Solar power installation project 271 kWp Mirae, Binh Duong

The project was completed in 2020, with a total capacity of 271 kWp. The project can reduce 300 tons of CO2 emissions per year, calculated using the 2021 Vietnam grid emission factor. The project is located on the rooftop of the Mirae’s factory in An Phu, Thuan An, Binh Duong, a province with abundant solar radiation and favorable conditions for solar power development.

The project was implemented by Vu Phong Energy Group, a reputable and professional partner in the field of solar power. Vu Phong Energy Group offers a comprehensive range of services, including consultation, technical design, material procurement, and construction execution. The project was carried out under the PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) contract, which means that Vu Phong Energy Group installed and operated the system for Mirae, and Mirae only paid for the electricity generated by the system at a lower price than the grid.

Project equipment

The project used 624 high-performance Longi 435Wp solar panels, 4 sets of SMA 75KW grid inverters, and high-quality auxiliary frame system and conductor with over 30 years of durability. The solar panels were installed on the rooftop of the factory, covering an area of about 1,800 m2. The grid inverters were connected to the national grid, allowing the project to sell excess electricity to the grid and receive a feed-in tariff (FIT) from the government. The auxiliary frame system and conductor were designed to withstand harsh weather conditions and ensure the safety and stability of the system.

Project benefits

The project has brought many benefits to Mirae, such as:

  • Reducing electricity costs: Solar power helps Mirae save electricity costs every month, especially during peak hours or peak seasons. Mirae can also earn income from selling surplus electricity to the grid at a preferential price.
  • Improving operational efficiency: Solar power helps Mirae ensure a stable and continuous power supply, avoiding power outages or disruptions. This helps Mirae improve its production efficiency, enhance its product and service quality, and increase its customer satisfaction.
  • Enhancing reputation and brand: Solar power helps Mirae demonstrate its care and responsibility for the environment and the community, contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and climate change. This helps Mirae enhance its reputation and brand, attract potential customers and partners, and create sustainable values.

The project is a successful example of the cooperation between Vu Phong Energy Group and Mirae in developing solar power in Vietnam. Vu Phong Energy Group is proud to be a trusted partner of many large domestic and foreign customers, such as VinGroup, Samsung, Unilever, Nestlé, etc. Vu Phong Energy Group hopes to continue cooperating with Vietnamese enterprises to develop sustainable energy, contributing to building a green, prosperous and peaceful future for Vietnam and the world.
