Vu Phong’s Commitment to Sustainable Development

One of the significant activities in May highlighted Vu Phong’s commitment to sustainable development. Mr. Phong, Pham Nam – Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Tri, Nguyen Quang – CEO of Vu Phong Energy Group, attended the Grand Opening of the Dalat Worsted Spinning Factory (DWS Factory). This facility stands as Vietnam’s first worsted yarn spinning mill equipped with modern machinery and powered by clean energy for production. Vu Phong Energy Group proudly provided General Contractor (EPC) services and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) for its 2,040 kWp solar power system. This system efficiently meets approximately 20% of the factory’s power needs and is projected to cut CO2 emissions by over 2,100 tons annually, a reduction comparable to growing 34,700 trees over a decade, significantly contributing to the nation’s Net-Zero emissions goals.

Furthermore, from May 10th to 13th, 2023, Mr. An, Pham Dang – Deputy General Director of Vu Phong Energy Group, represented the JCI Vietnam delegation at the JCI ASPAC Jakarta 2023 conference. This global gathering convened over 4,000 JCI members from across the Asia Pacific region. During the Global Solution Summit event, Mr. An shared Vu Phong’s journey and efforts in reducing carbon emissions Vietnam and exchanged ideas on collaborative new initiatives with delegates from Japan, Indonesia, and Hong Kong. He elaborated on ongoing greenhouse gas emission reduction projects, such as The Light Project and BLUE & GREEN, highlighting Vu Phong Energy Group’s dedication to corporate social responsibility and collaboration with businesses and government agencies to help Vietnam achieve its ambitious Net-Zero emissions target by 2050.
