The Solar Future Awards 2021 by Leader Associates – A global leading renewable energy event organizer – was organized to honor businesses that have made important contributions to the development of Vietnam’s solar power industry, and technological advancements and breakthrough solutions, thereby promoting the development of solar power projects in particular and renewable energy in general, towards sustainable future. Vu Phong Energy Group has been nominated for three categories: EPC Company of the Year, Company of the Year: Operations & Maintenance and Innovative Sustainability Project of the Year. Vu Phong Energy Group, in particular, won the award in the category of EPC Company of the Year for the completion of many high-quality and aesthetically solar power projects, as well as the pioneering development of efficient new models.

Vu Phong Energy Group is known as the leading professional solar EPC general contractor in Vietnam, with over 12 years of experience (since 2009), solid capacity, a reputable brand, and a devoted attitude,  marked by many high-quality and aesthetically projects. Vu Phong uses high-quality materials from reputable global brands to assure system quality and designs system schematics and installations in accordance with international standards. Vu Phong always researches new technologies to improve system operating efficiency and optimize customer experience while using clean energy.

Vu Phong Energy Group, has pioneered the development of the PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) solar power model with the participation of foreign investment funds, helping businesses to use clean energy at low cost without investing capital, just take advantage of the idle roof of the factory. This is a very effective solution for businesses that want to be greener in their production, especially when they need to prioritize and maximize capital to invest in technology, expand production scale, or focus on research and development (R&D). Furthermore, these solar power systems produce and use their own electricity, they do not place a strain on the power transmission – distribution grid system. The PPA model has attracted the attention of many businesses because of its practical benefits in terms of economy, society, and the environment. From 2020 until the present, Vu Phong Energy Group has successfully constructed, installed, and transferred rooftop solar power systems with the companionship of investment funds using the PPA collaboration model.

One of our highlighted projects of the solar power PPA model, with the companionship of the international investment fund ecoligo, is the solar power system on the factory roof of Dong Nam Viet Packaging Joint Stock Company. With a capacity of 2MWp, this system generates about 3.2 million kWh of power per year, helping the company in reducing production emissions of more than 2,100 tons of CO2. This is an important advance forward for Southeast Vietnam in the path of “greening” production, as well as for the investment funds ecoligo and Vu Phong Energy Group in the path of clean energy development in Vietnam.

On the afternoon of November 9, 2021, sharing at The Solar Future Awards 2021, Mr. Phong, Pham Nam – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vu Phong Energy Group – expressed his delight when Vu Phong received this award: “It is an honor and a source of encouragement for us to provide services for solar power systems in particular and renewable energy in general, as well as to collaborate with investors in developing clean energy in Vietnam.
