 On February 27, 2024, Vu Phong Energy Group celebrated its 15th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to “Developing clean energy for a green environment and sustainable development.”

The anniversary ceremony, themed “New Position – New Motivation,” was attended by over 100 guests, including strategic shareholders, partners, customers, and the entire Vu Phong Energy Group team. This special occasion provided an opportunity to reflect on 15 years of growth and to outline the company’s vision for a century of advancements in renewable energy.

Vu Phong Energy Group’s journey began in 2009 with the establishment of Vu Phong Solar Joint Stock Company in Binh Duong. Starting as a pioneering startup, the company has steadily grown into a leading enterprise in the Vietnamese renewable energy sector. The successful completion of numerous large-scale projects has demonstrated Vu Phong Energy Group’s expertise in providing EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and O&M (Operations & Maintenance) services.

From late 2019 and early 2020, Vu Phong Energy Group pioneered the implementation of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) model, collaborating with international investment funds. This innovative solution enables Vietnamese manufacturing companies to leverage solar power with no upfront investment. Through the Vu Phong’s Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) model, Vu Phong Energy Group has significantly supported the green transition of numerous large enterprises, including many listed among Vietnam’s Top 500 companies (VNR500).

Beyond EPC contracting and O&M services, Vu Phong Energy Group increasingly asserts itself as an investor and developer in the realm of renewable energy. Recognition through international awards like the C&I Energy South East Asia Leadership Awards 2022, The Asian Power Awards 2021, and The Solar Future Awards 2021 highlight the company’s dedication and expertise.

This includes offering renewable energy certificates, emission reduction certificates, and ESG practice consulting, provided through its subsidiary, VP Carbon.

At the 15th-anniversary celebration, Mr. Phong, Pham Nam – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vu Phong Energy Group – outlined the company’s new motivations for its next phase: investor and developer roles in renewable energy projects, alongside broader engagement in strategic shareholder initiatives.
