In April 2023, amidst record-breaking heatwaves or the “worst heat wave in Asian history,” the engineers at Vu Phong Energy Group continue to work tirelessly towards developing clean energy systems with the goal of early operation and system transfer to manufacturing businesses. Utilizing renewable energy and sustainable development not only helps businesses increase market competitiveness, but also contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, combating climate change, and minimizing its severe impacts.

Dalat Hasfarm embraces green production with rooftop solar power system

Vu Phong Energy Group is now implementing a solar power system at Dalat Hasfarm’s fresh flower farm in Da Lat City. This system is being developed under the PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) model, invested in by ecoligo Fund (Germany), with Vu Phong Energy Group serving as the developer and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) service provider. After the project kick-off ceremony in March 2023, Vu Phong Energy Group will rapidly deploy to operate and transfer the system, allowing Dalat Hasfarm to begin using green energy for their fresh flower production activities.

Vu Phong Energy Group promotes clean energy development at conferences

In April 2023, the Board of Directors of Vu Phong Energy Group also attended and shared at a number of important conferences and seminars on clean energy and green development. Notably, the Meeting on “Building and Developing a Green Economy in Ho Chi Minh City” was held by Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies, in collaboration with the Business Studies & Assistance Center on April 18. At the Meeting, Mr. Phong, Pham Nam, Chairman of Vu Phong Energy Group’s BOD, was invited to attend and share the benefits of the development and use of clean and renewable energy sources, notably rooftop solar power, which is a necessary solution that will greatly contribute to the construction and growth of a green economy in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

Another meaningful activity of Vu Phong Energy Group in April 2023 accompanied the project of 8 independent rooftop solar power systems to households in Pa Mi hamlet, Na Lia commune, Huu Kien commune, a very challenging commune in Chi Lang, Lang Son province. This is a meaningful community project implemented by Green Innovation Joint Stock Company (GREEN IN). Households will have electricity to meet their basic daily needs, such as lighting, watching TV, electric fans, and charging mobile devices… thanks to these solar energy systems. During the handover, engineers from Vu Phong Energy Group gave residents detailed instructions on using the systems effectively and ensuring their durability.

Prioritizes safety throughout project development and operations

In addition, at the end of April 2023, Vu Phong Energy Group participated a number of activities for World Day for Safety 2023 today, including a visit to an HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) – highlighted project, a 3,39 MWp solar power project at the Vinamilk-Mega factory, and a workshop on managing technical risks. World Day for Safety 2023 is an annual series of activities organized by TotalEnergies in which TotalEnergies employees and contractor partners participate. A typical project on HSE standard, the solar power project at the Vinamilk-Mega factory, was provided EPC general contractor and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) services by Vu Phong Energy Group.
