Vu Phong Energy Group’s spirit at BK Marathon 2022

The BK Marathon 2022 was held on October 23, 2022, with a large number of athletes participating. This is a large-scale sporting event held by the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT – Bach khoa) – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with the Representative Board of Bach Khoa Alumni (BKA) Community on the occasion of the University’s 65th anniversary of establishment. The Board of Directors and Vu Phong Energy Group employees participated in the race, spreading positive energy and showing support for the University.

The Event

Location and Distances

BK Marathon 2022 is held at Sala City (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) and has 21km, 10km, and 5km distances. The BK Marathon 2022 not only encourages the health training movement but also helps spread the spirit and values of Bach Khoa by connecting generations of staff, students, alumni, and partners of the University, particularly on the occasion of the University’s 65th anniversary (1957-2022).

As a result, the event has attracted many students, alumni, lecturers, and business representatives who like running to participate. Many members of the Board of Directors and staff of Vu Phong Energy Group also responded, participated in the race, conquered the 10km distance to spread positive energy, and expressed support for this meaningful activity as well as the school’s series of activities to mark the anniversary its 65th anniversary. BK Talent 2022

Vu Phong Energy Group previously sponsored the Bach Khoa talent search contest – BK Talent 2022 as part of a series of activities celebrating the school’s 65th anniversary. The contest enabled talent in the community of alumni students and school staff to demonstrate their talent, bravery, and mastery of their favorite arts. After more than two months of organizing and three qualifying rounds with hundreds of performances in a wide range of artistic forms, the finale took place on October 18, 2022, with a competition of the ten best performances. The vibrant atmosphere and impressive performances surprised and moved over 1,000 attendees. Mr. Phong, Pham Nam, Chairman of Vu Phong Energy Group, also attended this emotional finale.

HCMUT – Bach khoa: A Center for Training and Scientific Research

HCMUT – Bach khoa is now a center for training and scientific research, the greatest technology transfer in the southern regions and a major technical university in the nation after 65 years of establishment and development. This is one of  the four universities in Vietnam that have been recognized as satisfying European HCERES standards for educational institution accreditation. HCMUT – Bach khoa is also the first university in our nation to be recognized for educational institution accreditation by AUN-QA standards, and it has the most accredited training programs in Vietnam.

Scholarship Fund and Talent Competitions

Many generations of students have graduated from HCMUT – Bach khoa and made significant contributions to the country’s economy and society. Many members of the BOD and the engineering team of Vu Phong Energy Group have come from this traditional university. As a result, activities associated with the university, such as sponsoring talent competitions or, before that, the long-term scholarship fund awarded each year to students, express Vu Phong Energy Group’s gratitude to the university while encouraging students to develop themselves and continuing the university’s proud tradition.
